Dont Breathe (R.I.P Jesse)-Josh Sallee

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain deep breath

11:48 pm. August 21st, 2008 Jesse passed away tonight. Rest in Peace my friend. We all loved you while you were with us.. Ill see ya when i get to heaven

lyrics
You know them days, everyone has had them,
When everything you wanna do just doesn’t happen.
It all goes wrong, you can’t catch a break,
Things that were once real start lookin pretty fake
Your day goes from terrific to horrific,
Things start cutting deeper then the depths of the pacific.
It starts way inside, just as a small flame,
Grows into a fire, ya that’s what I call pain.
Your so fed up, it makes you wanna say,
Just this once, I wish today would just go away,
You can’t sulk in the sorrow,
You gotta look on cause theres always tomorrow.

But wait what about my best friend,
He lived for tomorrow and now his days about to end.
Only 21, a master of the art stencil,
Could make Picasso look dumb with just a sharp pencil.
An art genius, a life long friend to me,
My parents love him to, its like he is kin to me.
That’s why I was shocked when I heard the news,
Cancer got Jesse, and they said it’s lose, lose.
I remember in school they said people die,
Never told me it would be one of ;my guys.
Now he only gots weeks to live,
And I feel there is nothing I can say or give,
It hurts me, like I have done something wrong,
Cause he layin in that bed, but some how standing strong.
So please people, live in the present,
Cuz truth is tomorrow could be gone in a second,
So don’t

Live for the moment, that’s the main component,
Lifes hard if you make it your main opponent,
Respect what you got, don’t accept what your not,
Disect your life, and inspect what to stop,
All the bad things, that make life a little harder,
Cut em out, and start livin life a little smarter,
Make the world feel like it needs us,
Then point all the attention to God and Jesus,
Cuz their the reason were alive & livin,
They’ll make you life better so don’t shy, just give in,
You know the verse, the Lord will provide,
There’s truth to that verse, I swear it is no lie,
Just let go and take a deep breath,
Tomorrow’s never felt the actual pain of death,
So just reverse the words you hear the chorus say,
Forget about tomorrow and start living for today.

Hopkins Izzo

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain upper left

You know we work hard at Hopkins…we also like to blow off a little steam

Ladies and gentlemen, put our hands together for the astonishing…
(H to the izz-O,P K to the kizz-A)

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the number one hospital in the country
18 times…come and find us…
Thanks for coming out tonight.
You coulda been treated anywhere in the world, but you’re here with us
We appreciate that…uuunnnh…

H to the izz-O,P K I N S
Johns the first name, don’t forget the S
Was servin’ em by that school with the Terrapins
Go to work for em
Diagnosing their ills, what was hurtin’ em.
Breaks and bleeds, bone screws and tourniquets
Chest pain - tell me how bad the burning gets
H to the izz-O, P K I N S
Pain got you crippled? Let me give you a whipple!
They gave you two bypass, lets go for the triple
I read it in a book once, made it look pretty simple
Make it look easy, like House MDeezy
Now I walk with a limp even though it looks cheesy
H to the izz-O,P K I N S
Not playin’, this is me sayin’
Respect for the healers from under the dome
Bring it home…our stethoscopes’ plated in chrome

[CHORUS]
H to the izz-O,P K I N S
Fo’ sho you know we got them MDs who train to excess
H to the izz-O,P K I N S
That things sterile, stand with your hands UP!
H to the izz-O,P K I N S
Johns the first name, say it with an S
H to the izz-O,P K I N S
That things sterile, stand with your hands UP!

Holla at me…
Bring it from Baltimordor, what these words for
Witness like Jehova we gonna bring it right to your door
Transfusing this slack crap of medical rap
Bring it back, put Hopkins on the map
The time and the skill, that’s two things we lack
Just underscoring all of the books that we crack
Just underscoring us, how you feel bout that?
You think I mean the boards? I’m talking bout the track.

[CHORUS]

Yeah…
3 things you learn when you walk through these doors
One, here at Hopkins living legends walk the floors
Walked in the hospital saw Carson’s gifted hands
Had to stop…jizzed in my pants, 2
Barely making pass is a cause for elation
Even if you study til you lose all sensation
Number 3, c’est la vie, is important information
Dating + MedSchool = contraindication
You and me, all night in the anatomy lab
I’ll wear that nice cologne so it wont smell so bad
You know they keep it cold, hold her close so she don’t shiver
Make her quiver, when you give her a sliver of liver
To pass or to fail, it’s our only care
If you feel me, double glove your hands, two pair
H to the izz-O,P K I N S
Making the grade, like Gatorade, it’s just in us.

[CHORUS]

Authors@Google: Esther Gokhale

Posted on August 2009 in pain on lower left back

With a fresh approach to a common problem, this self-help guide to overcoming back pain advocates adopting the natural, healthy posture of athletes, young children, and people from traditional societies the world over. Arguing that most of what our culture has taught us about posture is misguided—even unhealthy—and exploring the current epidemic of back pain, many of the commonly cited reasons for the degeneration of spinal discs and the stress on muscles that leads to back pain are examined and debunked. The historical and anthropological roots of poor posture in Western cultures are studied as is the absence of back pain complaints in the cultures of Africa, Asia, South America, and rural Europe.

Esther Gokhale, LAc, is the founder of the Esther Gokhale Wellness Center, a licensed acupuncturist, and the creator of the Gokhale Method, an approach that helps people achieve better health through better structure.

This Authors@Google event took place February 14, 2008 at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, CA.

Flotsam and Jetsam - Burned Device

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain deep breath

Here is a band that I don’t know a lot. I know a couple of songs by them and I know they can play great thrash metal. But nothing more, I’ll discover them soon. Jason newsted was in this band before joining metallica. Great thrash metal, obviously worth hearing, THRASH TILL DEATH!!!!
Album: When the Storm Comes Down(1990)

Lyrics:
Down in the deep, black hole of my heart
I feel the pain inside of the dreams that died
And I saw a dark message clawed on a wall today, it said
Forever burn this world, it’s far too late

Now I stare out my window, I see the towers rise
Toxics seep into my backyard before my very eyes
Industrial revolution, no other solution
For the junk cultured junkies needs
So take a deep breath because it ain’t over yet
The machine it’s got to bring you down to your knees

Outside the gates of redemption inside my happy home
Contact with big Mr. Mega Bucks on my cellular phone
Dollar for dollar the business hounds holler
Sour mouthed stomachs well fed
And I’m moving the game yet I still complain
The paranoia, it swells inside my head

How will I ever know which way the wind blows
Will there be no place to hide when the storm comes down
To tear off my hide, defenseless, rich or poor
When the wolves start gathering round my door
Self-destructed, I never anticipated
Such pain from the things that I’ve created

Burn, burn, burn, burn, the device and the ice that’s in my heart
Burn down the lies and the hatred in my eyes
Let it burn, burn to see the world turn
And it’s all there in front of me
And I feel compelled to make you see…reality
This is the turning point, these are the crossroads
Detonated lunacy and it’s not a dream, it’s not a dream

No greener sky, no blacker seay, no greater war inside of me

Now I stare out my window, the patients on the lawn
Loved ones visiting hours wonder what went wrong, wrong, wrong
Outside the gates of redemption, my mind is never alone
Hospitalized, lobotomized, big machine, please come take me home

This is reality

Withdrawing from Antidepressants Can be Dangerous

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain upper left

http://www.encognitive.com
Prescription drugs are now one of the nation’s leading killers!
source: Consumer Reports. The number of people needlessly hurt or killed by prescription drugs has become staggering. A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical ociation (JAMA) found that in one year, over two million patients suffered serious drug reactions, resulting in 106,000 deaths. Another article in JAMA estimated that only 1 in 20 reactions are reported.

Drug makers claim that antidepressants are not “habit forming” but fail to mention that all antidepressants can cause withdrawal. People often do not realize that withdrawal is causing their symptoms.

Gradual dose reduction (also know as tapering) will alleviate symptoms for most people. (For many people the reduction in dose needs to be in miniscule amounts requiring the painstaking cutting and measuring of medication.) And yet most doctors do not know the proper methods for withdrawal and fail to fully warn patients. Failure to come off antidepressants properly, can result in permanent WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS.
