Just underscoring all of the books that we crack
Just underscoring us, how you feel bout that?
You think I mean the boards? I’m talking bout the track.

One, here at Hopkins living legends walk the floors
Walked in the hospital saw Carson’s gifted hands
Had to stop…jizzed in my pants, 2
Barely making pass is a cause for elation
Even if you study til you lose all sensation
Number 3, c’est la vie, is important information

I’ll wear that nice cologne so it wont smell so bad
You know they keep it cold, hold her close so she don’t shiver

Withdrawing from Antidepressants Can be Dangerous

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain upper left

http://www.encognitive.com
Prescription drugs are now one of the nation’s leading killers!
source: Consumer Reports. The number of people needlessly hurt or killed by prescription drugs has become staggering. A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical ociation (JAMA) found that in one year, over two million patients suffered serious drug reactions, resulting in 106,000 deaths. Another article in JAMA estimated that only 1 in 20 reactions are reported.

Drug makers claim that antidepressants are not “habit forming” but fail to mention that all antidepressants can cause withdrawal. People often do not realize that withdrawal is causing their symptoms.

Gradual dose reduction (also know as tapering) will alleviate symptoms for most people. (For many people the reduction in dose needs to be in miniscule amounts requiring the painstaking cutting and measuring of medication.) And yet most doctors do not know the proper methods for withdrawal and fail to fully warn patients. Failure to come off antidepressants properly, can result in permanent WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS.

I have a throbbing pain in the upper left side of my chest?

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain upper left

I looked up some info. on this & i learned the heart is in the middle of the chest my pain is in the upper part of my left chest kind of like a throbbing pain i can sleep at night & taking a deep breath doesn’t hurt or help it either way.
I have had it off & on for several weeks now but i have had some stress in my life my boss replaced me with a mexican & gave me nothing to do so i quit since my job was outside & it’s now freezing here im currently between jobs.

Chest pain could be a lot of different things, from indigestion to serious heart disease. You can try this website http://symptoms.webmd.com/default.htm which could give you some ideas, but there is no replacement for going to the doctor. You shouldn’t rely on internet information when it comes to your health. My suggestion is that you make an appointment to see your doctor.

could a pain in my upper back and left chest caused by my crying so hard and sadness?

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain upper left

I was so sad and was crying so hard, and when i woke up my upper back somewhere in my left shoulder blade hurt so bad so as my left chest.i was vacuuming prior to that night. But the muscles there are not tender like the normal muscles aches. I have shortness of breath and i can’t yawn completely because of the stabbing pain.Is this something serious or just gas?

Sounds like you got totally stressed out, what ever the matter let it go, I hope the tears helped you to release, don’t let it build up could do more harm than good.

Patient ED @ 617-379-1582 INFO
Your doctor has recommended that you undergo surgery to repair a hiatal hernia. But what does that actually mean?

Your diaphragm is a muscle that separates your chest from you abdomen and helps you to breathe. Normally, the diaphragm has an opening for the esophagus to pass through where it connects with the stomach.

A hiatal hernia occurs when part of the stomach

pushes upward through this small opening.

Your hiatal hernia may be causing considerable discomfort, with symptoms like heartburn, difficulty swallowing, chest pain and belching.

The reasons why hiatal hernias form are not known, but they are quite common. A Hernia is dangerous only if it becomes strangulated. That means that the portion of the stomach that has pushed up into the chest may become pinched - preventing blood from reaching it.

If this happens, you may require emergency surgery to restore blood flow and to repair hernia.

Intern Song

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain upper left

The life of an intern put to words, with a video for clarifications.

He dont want to be an intern any more
Being a doctor has lost its allure
Now hes up to his wrist in the snizz of a crack whore
He dont want to be an intern no more
He dont want to be an intern any more
Hed rather go slam his junk in a car door
Or make love to a peep show floor
He dont want to be an intern any more.

If you want to stay alive, dont get admitted in July, it aint no lie if your sick then youre probably gonna die, though I try, and aint no reason why, but peoples hearts go asystolic far too often when Im near by, and that I aint even indirectly killed no one this year is divine intervention, it appears because I live here, working like a slave for De Beer where for 50 cents an hour I get pounded in the rear, its clearer and clearer every day I see its like lock down in Oswald State Penitentiary; and Schillenger had said that Adibisi thinks Im pretty, so it makes sense when hes in my bed and says
Im . Its where Id rather be when a nurse starts a soliloquy, informing me the patient with the MDR-HIV, whos also got hepatitis A, B, C, ESLD, hepatic encephalopathy, well hes a hard stick and he just pulled out his IV, hes septic looking like he got SBP, and by the way his heart rates 183, , I dont care man quit ing paging me.

The Clinic

I aint even a cynic its objective at the clinic: my average patients is the size of a Civic, and she says I got chest pain, eye pain, ear pain, and I want to lose the couple extra pounds on my frame. Did you just say a couple extra pounds? You must be joking, how bout a couple extra people, I need some of what youre smoking. In fact Im shocked that all that fat around your neck dont got you choking, its a god miracle that both your knees ain’t broken; and Ive spoken six times on the phone with Mrs. X who got a vaginal discharge and a rash on her breast, says theyre hurting so bad she cant get any rest, and needs a Fentanyl patch to apply to her chest;
and when I ask if shes smoking she said, yesterday I quit though I can hear her puffing on the cigarette she got lit, so then when she said, I see blood in my spit- I said find another doctor Im tired of this

Night float

There are 4 floors, twelve wards, and its me versus 246 clerks, pharmacists and nurses, and its just me covering all the teaching services; I guess its time to start breaking out the hearses; at 3:15am my worst fear just came true, a dude from the *** had a glucose of 2 who when the nurse found him was apneic and blue, was in the ER and there was an H&P to do, Man I should be at home drinking a fifth; with Swiss Miss rolled in a , and not in the ACE where I could catch C. diff; and the nurses do vital signs every other shift; and now some skin-popping crack head wants to leave AMA; but thatll uncap ** so theres no ing way; Ill use my communication skills to relay that we got many types of drugs to make him more inclined to stay, Ill say
You strike me as the kind of guy who likes the China White, so whats it gonna take to keep you here through the night? Opiods plus benzos if my intuitions right, because you seem the type of gent who likes coke instead of Sprite. 4 of Dilaudid and 2 of Ativan, and be chasing the dragon, go ahead try to catch him if you can; he wont make another peep in a minute be counting sheep, now dont call me again Im going back to sleep.

So make sure that you ask your doctor to carefully explain the reasons behind this recommendation.

pain in my left upper chest?

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain upper left

i have alot of pain in my chest left side. it hurts realy badly and has almost knocked me over a few times. it is near my lung area however i am not having any trouble breathing nor do i smoke or do any type of drugs. i am not confident as to why i can barely touch my skin to be in alot of pain. it feels as if i am being stabbed by a very sharp knife. an educated person please tell me what i should consider doing (goin to a alergist, going to a family doctor) as well as this if anyone has an idea at what i may be dealing with please send me that as well thank you

Here are some possibilities: stress (likely), blockage by plaque (better see a doctor), heart attack due to lack of blood supply: look for other symptoms, like dizziness, sweating, nausea… (better see a doctor). Galll bladder (also good possibility) (I’ve had it.. it’s a sharp pain between the ribs kind of in the heart area.. lasts about 3 hours but it’s 3 hours of torture. To fix you are facing either a diet issue or surgery, your choice!)
That’s all I can think of…. Hope it helps.

What could be causing this weird upper chest/left arm pain?

Posted on August 2009 in chest pain upper left

This has been happening for a few weeks now, lasting only a few seconds each time but today it is happening a lot and lasting a lot longer each time. I have a burning pain about an inch below my left clavicle, in a straight line down from the outer edge of my neck. Usually when I get this pain I can also feel it in my arm in different places but not as strong. I’m not 100% sure but it really feels like a blood vessel to me.
Any ideas?

i dont wanna scare you but it may be due to some cardiac problem.
& you are having referred pain in the arm,.
consult a doc as soon as possible
