Posted on August 2009 in pain left side
having sharp pain in left side of my abdomen and a kind of contstant pain in my diaphram. i haven’t change anything in my regular routine. i was in acar accident about 4 weeks ago and have had this pain for about a week. does anyone have any ideas?
probably go see a doctor. i know it might not seem urgent now but it could get worse. i would probably saw a fractured rib or something if you’ve recently been in a car accident… but i"m NOT a doctor. go see one.
What would cause pain when inhaling on my lower right back?
Posted on August 2009 in lower right pain
Three days ago I started having sharp pain in my lower right back when inhaling. The rest of my lower back hurts as well, but does not have the sharp pains when inhaling. A friend suggested I might have pulled a muscle. I am wondering why this would cause pain when breathing, and what I can do to relieve the pain.
OMG! I am in the bed right now in pain right now looking for advice on my pain also! I hurt my back riding my bike too long. It didn’t hurt the same day. I woke up the next morning and could barely get out of bed. The pain is on my right side, in the middle and when I am sitting up breathing, it hurts my chest. My research says that muscles on that side of the body is connected to muscles in the front of your body which can interupt your breathing. So I am taking it easy and resting, using icyhot and advil for the pain. It will take a few days to wear off. There is not much you can do. Good luck!
Why do I have Pain in left lower abdomen after gallbladdder removal?
Posted on August 2009 in lower left pain
I had gallbladder removal 10 days ago. All my incision sites look good and feel fine. I am even eatinging normally. But I have this pain that feels like muscle soreness in my LEFT lower stomach. What could be causing this?
One thing I found when I had my gallbladder removed was that the pain medicine caused me to be somewhat constipated. That can cause pain like that in your lower stomach. If you’ve been constipated, that could be causing the pain. If that’s not the case, call up your doctor and see if there is a chance that you’ve developed some sort of infection, or if there is something else going on.
Does lower abdominal pain & few drops of vaginal bleeding 2 weeks after IVF always mean failure?
Posted on August 2009 in lower abdominal pain
We underwent in vitro fertilization 2 weeks back , 4 zygotes were re introduced and eversince my wife experienced slight bouts of lower abdominal pain which today increased in intensity, and she noticed few drops of blood , does this mean that all the embryos are aborted?
She should call her RE. Isn’t it about time for her blood test? The first time I went through IVF I started having period like cramps and sure enough, it didn’t work. She should call and have that test. If it’s been 2 weeks she could actually take a home test and it should be accurate. It’s so hard to tell because of all the meds so I’d take a test and call the doctor. Is she on progesterone? If so, she won’t start her period until she stops it so the spotting could mean anything. Call the doc! I really hope you get good news. I know how difficult the whole issue is. Good luck!
At 5 weeks pregnant is it normal to have lower abdomen pain that seems to be worse when I stretch or cough?
Posted on August 2009 in lower abdomen pain
I do not have any bleeding, just the pain. The pains are not constant and sometimes there is also some cramping (but not severe).
yes they are very common i used to get them all the time when i first got pregnant, they almost feel like charlie horses in your stomach. It’s just your body accomodating for the baby and growing. They are called round ligament pains. You will get them more often later on in pregnancy. Good luck and Congratulations!
am 6 weeks pregnant,am expierencing back pain and lower abdomen pain. I have also had a lot of clear discharge

Am I trying to have a miscarriage?
I had a lot of pain around that time and checked with a doctor in case. Turned out everything was fine and they even saw my baby’s heartbeat on an ultrasound. I don’t think it’s a miscarriage unless there is blood and/or a whole lot of serious cramping.

HELP lower right side pain radiates up right side and down right leg?
Posted on August 2009 in right side pain
my gf said she woke up this am and had a bagel with cream cheese and a choclate milk…..30 min later felt really qweezy and nauses…and has had pain on lwer right side that radiates up her side and a little on her back, and on to her right leg….any ideas? no fever…said advil isn’t helping….could this be associated with gerd or????
I’m thinking more like kidney stones with the pain in the lower back and radiating up and down on her right side.
Chocolate, tea, dark colas and caffiene are all contributors to kidney stones which are very painful and if this is the case she will need to see a urologist for help passing the stone(s) . For me a kidney stone was worse than natural childbirth.
Also, consider if her monthly cycle is regular, if she takes birth control, etc……. A cyst on an ovary can also give those same symptoms, is many times overlooked but can be very painful also. In this case a gyn visit would be in order.
Both of these will cause nausea, even sometimes vomiting either from infection or severe pain. A fever is seldom present during either episode.
Even an urgent care can help at least to give her somethng for the pain, and take a urine sample to check for stones or other infection.
Good Luck and I do hope she feels better soon. I applaud you for being so caring as to try to find a solution. She’s a lucky girl.
Jackie
