Does lower abdominal pain & few drops of vaginal bleeding 2 weeks after IVF always mean failure?

We underwent in vitro fertilization 2 weeks back , 4 zygotes were re introduced and eversince my wife experienced slight bouts of lower abdominal pain which today increased in intensity, and she noticed few drops of blood , does this mean that all the embryos are aborted?

She should call her RE. Isn’t it about time for her blood test? The first time I went through IVF I started having period like cramps and sure enough, it didn’t work. She should call and have that test. If it’s been 2 weeks she could actually take a home test and it should be accurate. It’s so hard to tell because of all the meds so I’d take a test and call the doctor. Is she on progesterone? If so, she won’t start her period until she stops it so the spotting could mean anything. Call the doc! I really hope you get good news. I know how difficult the whole issue is. Good luck!

i am 6 weeks pregnant. since last few days i’ve been having some lower abdominal pain which is minimal in strength but can be stronger at other times. is this normal for early pregnancy? i hv no discharge.
your responses are great!! thanks so much. i’m grateful enough i don’t have any other symptoms ie morning sickness, headache.. i only have breast engorgement and tenderness which is bearable.

ugh… it was awfully painful at times. it is ur uterus growing… i don’t know if it will happen to you but with my twins i had these cramps my entire pregnancy. very normal but very sucky… no period for 9 months but period symptoms the whole time!!! LOL congratulations

I just started my period about a month ago and whenever I masterbate I feel lower abdominal pain and after too. What could this be?

Could only be muscle contractions I’m sure. Thought it would more likely relax you though!!

Almost 5 months and having lower abdominal pain?

I’m occasionally experiencing lower abdominal pain, it’s only severe when I move a certain way, cough or sneeze. I’ve been told that it may be caused by the baby balling up in one place, the baby may be moving or just simply growing. It’s been going on about 2 days. Should I wait it out or contact my doctor?

Is the pain like muscle pain? If so, it could be that your muscles or ligaments are trying to stretch - especially if you feel them when you cough or sneeze. If this is so, they will go away.
If you’re really uncomfortable, call the doctor - that’s what they’re there for. =) They don’t mind those kind of questions. I’m sure they get them all the time, and are used to answering these kind of questions. They’d rather have you call, and tell you you’re just fine, than wait too long, and have something wrong with you.

i have been having alot of lower abdominal pain , it feels like cramps, i also have alot of back pains, (im a women i hope that helps)

You could have some issues with your colon, such as IBS or Crohn’s disease. Constipation also causes cramping and lower back pain. Many times these disorders cause cramping or lower back pain. If this has been going on for more than a few days, it’s time to see a doctor to have a checkup and some tests done.

for a couple of days now i have experienced lower abdominal pain. It feels like a steady cramp(and not time of month). This cramp is constant. I also have lower back pain, not extreme but i can feel discomfort. Its feels like the two pains somehow tie in together. When i stand up not fast just normal i tend to get light headed where my vision becomes blured then comes back after a few seconds. I wonder if this all ties together or if anyone has any answers.

you may want to call the dr.
it could be a ovarian cyst.
the pain is dull/sometimes sharp, travels around to your back and sometimes down your leg.

when you go from sitting to standing you can cause a drop in your blood pressure. i think everyone experiences this at some time in their life. everything will go black and you have this "massive throbbing in your head" and it all lasts for about 10 seconds…

i wouldnt think that the 2 are somehow tied together

I have only just found out i am pregnant and sometimes get lower abdominal pain.

if it feels like period cramps then yes this is perfectly normal

i have upper abdominal pain with both kidney and lower back pain.can anyone tell me about my disease?

from 15 days i have upper abdominal pain but sometime lower abdominal pain,and also lower back pain,what should i do?
i have been tested my urine but all it is clear.

We can’t tell you what this is but I would suggest that you ask your doctor for a CT scan of your abdomen. This could help the doctorsnarrow down what it could be, seriously, it could be a million things……Get some more tests done and let us know…

I am worried about the severe lower abdominal pain i felt since yesterday.?

My lower abdomen is painful, I can not even walk straight, talk loud or anything that would connect to my abdomen. I have fever of 39.1 degrees celsius, it’s on and off. I took paracetamol and other pain reliever, but it seems there is no effect to my abdominal pain. I am already finished with my monthly period just a week ago.

I have been having lower abdominal pain , tender breasts , I have been using the bathroom like every 20 minutes , I haven’t started my period and I have also lost 10 Ibs in two days. What I was wondering is if these are signs of pregnancy? Cause I really need to know.

I def. had all of those symptoms when I became pregnant, all three times, however each woman is different.
If your period is late, you should be able to test accurately positive/negative for pregnancy.
If you’re going through anything stressful or if you’ve been extra active, that can also delay your period and kinda make your body ache.
I would try taking a preg. test, just in case.
